Here is a divergence between the two (my fault)

CVS-BFBlender=20
Vertex Loop (ALT-B)

Tuhopuu=20
Vertex Loop (B+B+B)
face select tool (ALT+B).

I still have more work to do on the face select tool, but it is coming =
along. It is not a 2.33 target, but perhaps the version after.

CVS-BFBlender has vertex loop select.
In Tuhopuu you not only have edge select (B+B+B) but
face select too (ALT+B).
