I eventually understood what you meant... I agree that it would be good to
rename SizeN (SizeX,Y,Z) to ScaleN (it is more accurate). As far as
LocalSizeN goes, it isn't clear if the X,Y,Z is along the global or local
axes... the user can just go into edit mode and scale things there so they
know exactly what's going on.

I think it should be like how it is in Blender 2.28 - you just adjust the
location of the vertices. In edit mode the vertices wouldn't be storing any
size or rotation information. It is inconsistent to put "subdivide" and
"merge" buttons there since "n" is used to just the numerical properties of
something.
In 2.28, the editmode coordinates (when you press n) are relative to the
centrepoint and don't take into account the rotation or scaling of the
object in object mode.
