Nope.  This is wrong.  Blender uses the filesystem
for its undo stack, rather than memory.  That's what
the business about versions in the Preferences window
is for.  Saving a .blend file is fast because it's
basically a memory dump.  The idea is that you checkpoint
your work before doing something drastic.  If you don't
like the results CTL-O to reload.  I'm not going to mention
autosave.

There is already a key, F1, for open.  Sometimes I get
the impression that these suggestions are coming from
people who are not familiar with blender.
