You misinterpret. The setting "dist" is artificial. Light, gravity, all
other forms of fields vary only with the square of the distance to the
source (1/r^2). In reality, I can not make a light with a relative falloff
that is faster or slower than any other light (other than a perfectly
converged laser). I can only control the brightness (energy) at the source.
