It would be great to see something more 'official' through the blender website, sadly I'm lacking time at the moment to work on this, but would be happy to support someone else.<br></div><div><br></div><div>My work with 3Dami work has mostly been on materials for the 11-18 age group, and I've written a free CC 6 week scheme of work for schools including worksheets, lesson plans and presentation materials, which is now part of the English government's resources for teaching computing to 11-16 year olds. Hi everyone,<br>

I started teaching Blender this year at our vocational design school here in Berlin, Germany. <br>
<br>
Next year I will give a full time course on 3D digital design in general and Blender in particular.<br>
<br>
In preparation of that I am working on a Blender curriculum, which I want to publish under a Creative Commons license, if there are enough teachers interested in such a thing, and may be willing to contribute.<br>
<br>
The idea is to one day have consistent teaching material for Blender that is as freely accessible as is Blender itself.<br>
<br>
Anyone interested? What do you think?<br>

host downloads or a section on the website for educators.<br>
Unfortunately, it's a lot of work, so these ideas usually fade out with <br>
only good intentions :) would you have time for it?<br>

Hi all,<br>

Here, at London School of Maths and Programming, I've made the educational<br>
program and project-based exercises on creative coding with Python in<br>
Blender3D (and sometimes we use Blender3D for development parts of the<br>
electronics projects <a href="https://youtu.be/uVkENK5GC9s?t=15" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://youtu.be/uVkENK5GC9s?t=15</a> ). So I am happy to<br>
be involved in the official Blender Education initiative. And also the<br>
school has a nice online learning platform, so maybe there is room for<br>
cooperation!<br>

Hello everyone, Alan Mariscal here, Industrial designer turned 3D Artist.<br>
<br>
I am also very interested in the education aspect of Blender, myself being an independent learner am aware of all the pitfalls that one can fall into when trying to learn 3D , in this case with Blender, however to move along with the discussion and trying to get to a point I will save those stories for later communications.<br>
<br>
There might be a better way like a Facebook group (I'm aware there are tons of them already) but perhaps one Facebook group where the pool of participants is based on those in this BF-educators thread.<br>
<br>
Perhaps it could begin as a private group and of course the goal would be to have a place where information is shared in a orderly and organized fashion since our interests and objectives can vary so vastly from individual to individual.<br>
<br>
Opinions on this matter are encouraged :)<br>

Having some space on <a href="http://blender.org" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">blender.org</a> for educators would be great. However,<br>
what I need as a (Blender) teacher would be for BF/BI to dedicate some more<br>
time and effort to Blender Education initiatives from the community, more<br>
than just maintaining a webpage.<br>
As I pointed out before, there are lots of Blender Education initiatives<br>
happening, lots of programs or curriculum, all great! Together with 3Dami<br>
we've been putting our own time and effort in supporting these initiatives,<br>
but our time and effort is also very limited.<br>
So having someone from BF/BI to help us out would be great!<br>

I hoped that our new operations manager would pick that up. <br>
Unfortunately this is still an open job position here.<br>
Working on it.<br>

We also don't mind providing a grant to a person who wished to <br>
coordinate these efforts for a while. The grant would be based on <br>
freeing up a person's time to make dedicated work on a Blender project <br>
possible. Proposals can be sent to this list or to me in person!<br>

Hi to all,<br>

I started teaching (and still learning) Blender a year ago for<br>
introductory course in Computer Animation. The course was taught the<br>
course in Maya before.<br>
<br>
<br>
The lack of good free materials in written form as well as well defined<br>
guidance path is frustrating. Especially as I'm teaching computer<br>
animation to computer science students that want deeper understanding of<br>
the ideas. I would be up for contributing the little spare time I have.<br>

Hi all,<br>

I am a biologist and biomechanist and use blender to re-assemble and<br>
retrodeform fossils, and also to model muscles for biomechanical analyses.<br>
I’ve written a guide on mesh cleaning and also developed an add-on which<br>
will be made public soon.<br>
It’s cool to see so many educators using Blender - I have also taught it to<br>
students.<br>

To prevent an abundance of emails, I second whoever suggested forming a<br>
Slack channel.<br>
