Thank you, Ton.

I had derived BBB's 7 persons/7months from the interviews on the DVD.  I wasn't
sure about anything else.

I've used BBB resources in a college course and a "Talented and Gifted" course
for 13 - 17 year olds.  I look forward to the Sintel DVDs.

Of course, I'll have to figure out how to incorporate Sintel's 20 minutes per
frame into 3-hour labs.

Best,
Edwin Pilobello

Hi,

I've never posted such info in detail... but should be done once,
indeed.
The rough estimates:

BBB:
- 7 months: 5 artists, 2 devs.
- 12 months half time producer
- 7 months production assistant
- rendertime average 10 minutes/frame x 600 seconds

Sintel
- 10 months, 10 artists, 2 devs (average of 12 months period)
- 12 months full time producer
- rendertime average 20 minutes/frame x 888 seconds

The overhead such as script, composer, studio, systems, renderfarm,
premiere, dvd production, etc. etc. not included.

heh. nearly exactly the same man-month per render-time.
As could be expected, increasing detail/complexity (as indicated by render-time)

increases the effort (people-months) linearly.
