[Bf-education] Bf-education Digest, Vol 48, Issue 2

Hi,

Just a note about certifications; the true value of that lies in a
verifiable and reliable authority that gives it out. Sofar the educator
certifications haven't done too bad really... but it has many loose
ends still (active support by BF especially :).

There's been talks about developer certification too, something I
rather not burn my energy with now. Standardized artist certification
will be a nightmare even...

As a producer myself, I would honestly *never* hire someone based on
certifications, but strictly and only look at the actual achievements,
portfolio and work experience.

And if an artist presents diplomas or certifications, any sane employer
will first check on the school or institute that has provided it. Just
build yourself an excellent name with good training, there's the added
value students will seek for.
