<div dir="ltr"><div><div><div><div><div>Hi,<br><br></div>This version has come out nicely.<br><br></div><div>A tip: When you are already providing an image, then it is best to annotate it with marker numbers and then refer to those numbers in the text. <br>
If necessary, use a rectangle/oval overlay to highlight a specific control (or region of interest) in the GUI.<br><br>Then you will not have to say "The upper-left window pane is the <span class="">Graph Editor</span>, the upper-right window pane is the....".</div>
<div>(If you were presenting a ppt, would you talk like that? of course not- You would use a laser pointer and point at specific areas...)<br></div><div><br></div><div>****<br></div><div>Your page names and headings do not match with the convention followed by the wiki.<br>
<br>First of all, the contents of the <a href="http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Meta:Sanbox/Doc:2.6/Manual/Sequencer">http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Meta:Sanbox/Doc:2.6/Manual/Sequencer</a> page will go to the main index page:<br>
<a href="http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:2.6/Manual#Editing_Sequences">http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:2.6/Manual#Editing_Sequences</a><br><br></div><div>Thereafter, all your pages will get called from the manual's main index page. <br>
So the <a href="http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Meta:Sanbox/Doc:2.6/Manual/Sequencer">http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Meta:Sanbox/Doc:2.6/Manual/Sequencer</a> page would be retired (not needed; redundant).<br></div><div>
<br>*****<br></div>I will provide two examples of how to change the banner (text in orange band at the top of page). <br>Apply the same method to the other pages also.<br></div><div><br>First example: page Doc:2.6/Manual/Sequencer/Intro/Introduction.<br>
<br></div><div>Change its banner to "Doc:2.6/Manual/<span class="" id="Video_Sequence_Editor_Summary">Video Sequence Editor</span>"<br>Reason: The intro pages are not called "introduction", but named after the main topic.<br>
<br></div><div></div><div>Change the first heading on the page<span class="" id="Introduction_to_video_editing_in_Blender"> "Introduction to video editing in Blender" to simply "</span><span class="" id="Introduction_to_video_editing_in_Blender">Introduction" (h1 format).<br>
----</span><br><span class="" id="Introduction_to_video_editing_in_Blender">A second example: The Doc:2.6/Manual/Sequencer/Strips/Types page-<br><br>Change the banner from "Doc:2.6/Manual/Sequencer/Strips/Types" to "Doc:2.6/Manual/Sequencer/Strips/Introduction".<br>
Change the title "<span class="" id="Strips_definition_and_types">Strips definition and type" to "Introduction". </span><br></span></div><div><span class="" id="Introduction_to_video_editing_in_Blender"><br>
****</span><br></div></div></div><span class="" id="Introduction"></span><div><span class="" id="Video_Sequence_Editor_Summary">The overview page should cover the display modes, because it accomplishes different tasks in each mode.<br>
</span></div><div><span class="" id="Video_Sequence_Editor_Summary">BTW the screenshot of each mode should show the entire VSE, not just its header (which does not explain what that mode is for).<br></span></div><div><div>
<div>Explain the main purpose of each mode, and explain how the GUI helps achieve that.<br><br></div><div>Then the next page will only have a brief explanation about the workflow (important!) which modes to use to achieve that workflow.<br>
<br></div><div>Therefore this section ("View") should be renamed "Working with VSE".<br><br>*****<br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Regards,<br></div><div>Narayan<br></div><div><br><div><br></div>

Hi all !<br>
<br>
I finally finished the new structure / complete update of the 2.6
VSE chapter.<br>
<br>
I need someone to tell me: <i>"OK, you can move this from the
sandbox to the Doc:2.6 pages"</i>, or <i>"no way, your work
sucks"</i>... :P<br>
<br>
BTW, here is the "index" page I created for it in the sandbox: <a href="http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Meta:Sanbox/Doc:2.6/Manual/Sequencer" target="_blank">http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Meta:Sanbox/Doc:2.6/Manual/Sequencer</a><br>
Note that the links inside are pointing to the final page's
destinations (i.e. Doc2.6)<br>
<br>
A question anyway, concerning the "tree view" in the left panel of
the wiki... How to update it ? It'd be better if this tree would be
the same as the "index" page I created...<br>
<br>
All critiques and remarks are welcome... And since <span lang="en"><span>I </span></span><span lang="en"><span>soon</span> <span>would no longer</span> have <span>time to</span> <span>take care</span></span>
about that, everyone can update / change / correct it !<br>
<br>
Thanks !<br>
