Hi all,

This is a little delayed, but most people were busy working on infrastructure projects, so i held off on new assignments. It seems that most tasks from assignment 1 are complete so let's do another round, this time, focusing on helping devs with their release notes. (see below)

Does anyone know what the usual process is to integrating release notes into the blender wiki? I don't think the release notes' page rank is very high, I certainly haven't ever landed there from a search engine. So this valuable information is currently like an insider's only thing.

The following request was posted on bf-committers this morning. Please self-assign. Make contact with the developer to see if there are any undocumented features in their notes or if they have more rough notes lying around. Post to here or bf-committers to let people know you're working on it and add an entry to http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/User:Sculptorjim/Page_Review. Note that this is time-sensitive as the release is happening this week. If there are new icons or other gui elements that will be useful to other pages please add them to http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Meta:Guides/Icon_Library when you "upload file".

kesten

------------ from bf-committeres -------------
If anyone is interested in helping with the release notes, here's the
current status. Even if pages are complete they can always use better
images, example .blend files or more detailed explanations.
Incomplete:

Mask Editor: needs to be completed with info about all the tools and
settings, currently it's mostly a copy pasted design document, not end
user doc.
Motion Tracker: needs some grammar cleanup, could use nicer front page image.
Mesh Tools: needs to be fleshed out, also not sure if these are all
mesh tool changes? Could use nicer front page image
Game Engine: is just dump of commit logs, needs to be turned into user
docs, add images, needs front page image.
Small Features: feature descriptions could be improved, images added.

Complete:

Green Screen Keying
Color Management
Cycles Rendering (some performance comparisons will be added)
