if you are eager to know how things are going, feel free to drop by IRC at #blenderwiki on freenode. At some point you might find the people working on the project there and get more involved :)

Also, Greg Zaal - who has been coordinating most of the documentation work lately - might send out a mail soon highlighting the progress.

I was told that many of the issues had been discussed and decisions made, ...and then I guess they were burnt onto a write once never read memory and locked away in a vault never to be read again.
