[Bf-docboard] How to move the wiki to 2.6+

Hi all,

quick update.

What has been done in November
-------------------------------

1)

Bastien and I have restructured the manuals, both 2.6 and 2.4.

2)

Valter Battioli has patiently reviewed most the manual to spot all kind
of problems, using an ad-hoc template that helps us to make a global
report of the manual status, see:

http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Meta:Wiki_Tasks/Review_2.6_Manual

There's still a bit of work to be done to complete that report, but
we're nearly there.

3)

I have moved:

- the old manual to Doc:2.4/Manual
- the 2.5 manual to Doc:2.6/Manual, also merging it with 2.6 contents
that was already in Doc:2.6/Manual (cycles, motion tracking, etc)

4)

After all these moves, I'm now fixing all the internal links and
redirects (hopefully this part is automatic but it takes some time,
should done in a couple if days).

What's next
------------

1)

After the maintenance, we'll re-index and finally I'll do the wiki sitemap.

Without going into details, I'll manipulate the sitemap produced by
mediawiki to give higher priority to 2.6 content.

2)

Kesten Broughton volunteered to help spotting and fixing all the heading
problems in the manual pages, see

http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/User:Kesten/Projects/WikiAssignment1

Basically this is needed for SEO (missing/duplicate/generic <h1>s
confuse search engines) and also he gets his feet wet with the manual.

3)

Using templates to compile an automatic report about the manual status
helps to keep track of what's going on in the manual, and to define
clear todos (even small ones) for contributors, so soon we'll be able to
distribute tasks to writers: we'll mail about this when the review will
be done.

Regards,
Luca
