What I mean is, why should we have archaic rules that are not needed for a
wiki?

I do NOT have to prove that I know Blender.
If I write spam/nonsensical text, you can ban me as a user and roll back all
my changes in a single stroke.

That's how wiki works. NOT through censorship!
