[Bf-docboard] generating blender pdf manuals

Hello,

I joined the blender community some 6 months ago and I hope to contribute to 
the documentation in the future. As a first step I tried to check out the 
manual sources from cvs and generate.

The pdf generation fails however. I could solve the first few errors via 
google by raising some vars in /etc/texmf/texmf.cnf

Now generation first gives some warning and errors such as:

then aborts with:

!  ==> Fatal error occurred, the output PDF file is not finished!

I'm using SuSE 9.2 so all docbook stuff should be fairly recent.

Can somebody point me in the right direction?
