There's also a much more down to earth reason I think: making this book 
cost the Blender Foundation a *lot* of money, and they'll need to earn 
it back and make some profit on it as well. After all, Ton *does* eat, 
sometimes ;-)

Giving the sources as they went to the printer (that is, including the 
cool design by Xype et al.) would not make much sense, would it?
