<p dir="ltr">Subdivision is only partially implemented in Cycles currently. Best you can do at the moment is use a subdivision modifier instead, tho this isn't ideal.</p>
<p dir="ltr">I have a patch I'm hoping to submit to the tracker later this week that makes this feature somewhat usable, but you'll probably have to make do with other solutions for now.</p>
