<div dir="ltr"><div>Drivers inside node groups are not supported atm unfortunately. This is a deeply rooted problem with the dependency graph, which cannot handle updates of anything other than object, scene, and armature datablocks reliably. Even drivers in the top-level, non-group node trees (the main compositor tree) only work because of hacks and only when the scene is active iirc.<br>
<br></div>Sorry for the disappointment. We intend to fix the dependency graph asap, but it can still take a while. Until then you could possibly work around it with some explicit scripting and scene update handlers.<br></div>

usual way (D key) and the outliner way, but neither is working.<br>

The value in the node doesn't update, and the variable in the drivers<br>
editor stays at 0.000.<br>

Any ideas? Can this be done?<br>
