Yes, both Java, JavaScript, & ActionScript have similar issues. I
believe, however, that both ActionScript and JavaScript have a few safe
guards in place that make it difficult to completely kill the
desktop/browser. Both of them check for excessive amounts of memory
usage for the virtual machine (although media is a separate problem).
The issue is that Python doesn't allow for stopping scripts when
exceeding a given memory usage and is unlikely to (given the key
language developers like to think of Python as a "host" environment
rather than a "client scripting language").<br>
