I haven't tried to run it with a known-to-work .blend game neither tried to export the game using file > Save Runtime. What I did was trying to run the blenderplayer created by the SCons build process - both with a simple .blend file and with a simple mesh and without arguments. Both times I got the exact same result (see the attached file).<BR>

I'm upgrading my work environment's python (currently it's v2.4) because I can't compile blender in here and yet I can do it at my home (the only difference is the python version - v2.5.1 at home). Once it's up and running again I'm gonna test the things you said (maybe with Club Sillo's .blend file).<BR>

But, please, tell me: it's the expected output when running the blenderplayer program without any arguments? If so, what's the source for the main function?<BR>

How does it show that it is not running? Have you tried ie. creating a short game scene and save that as game (File > Save Runtime)? Or alternatively, save the scene as .blend and pass the filename as option to the blenderplayer.<BR>
