Wow... that will be really nice!

I was just a little surprised that a sensor size could be inferred, and that the
camera “Lens mm” setting actually works in a perfectly physical way -- as
long as you know it is a camera with a “crop factor” of 1.353. Even just
knowing that, it is possible to convert the focal length of a real lens to the
blender camera.

There are other things that can be added to the camera, even if they are not
used by the renderer. If “Aperture” (f-stop) is there it would be more convenient
to use it as input to the Defocus node. It is conceivable that a working DOF
node group could be inserted without needing a user to tweak it. And it would
be easy to animate f-stop changes.

And knowing the f-stop, sensor size, focal length, and focus distance is enough
to get near focus distance, far focus distance, and the hyperfocal distance, which
would all be useful to the defocus node itself to get better results. Following is a
web page that calculates those with javascript:

http://www.tawbaware.com/maxlyons/calc.htm

Even a seemingly dumb setting like exposure time would be nice to have as it
could be used in motion blur calculations

Thanks again. Love your work...
