[Bf-committers] Patch: New functionality for background images

Such a system would be indeed a much more robust solution than binding the images to empty objects.
Possible uses of this in 2d would be control of compo nodes, effects in sequencer (both in respective preview windows), mentioned transform of bg images in 3d view, transforming of trackers, bezier masks,....
In 3d this could be a solution for alternative pivots, e.g. for game physics constraints e.t.c.
there could be different classes for different uses, which then could be bound to respective RNA properties - like 2d point(2 props), rectangle(4 props), line,3d point e.t.c....
