"I was having issues with the stand-alone player's overhead being at a
constant 30~40%. Trying to figure out what this
was going to, I found out that "overhead" was simply drawing the
profile. The "overhead" display?
None the less, that much time should not be spent drawing the profile,
and the embedded player did better (5~15%). I
made a few modifications to how the stand-alone player draws the
profile, and now it is a lot closer to the embedded
player (8~15%). I'm sure more could be done in the file (the embedded
does all sorts of things that the stand-alone
doesn't do), but this is a good enough increase for me, and I don't
know enough about OpenGL to do much more fiddling."

Cheers,
