Hi,
this plan sounds great. A 2.40 release would present all the new 
features much better than a 2.38 release. One thing I was thinking 
should be worked on, though, is support for 16 bit components in the 
image libs. With the addition of OpenEXR, this is becoming more 
apparently necessary.
