Please don't use CMake!

I use vtk regularly on many platforms, and CMake makes it a
disaster to build everywhere. I would recommend you try to build
vtk on a few platforms before you make a decision about this.

AFAIK the only advantage of CMake is that you can use the
same config for both windows and *NIX builds -- I think
there must be a better way that involves
"./configure;make;make install;" on *NIX and something else
on Windows.
